Job Description

The Village of Willard is in search of a part-time candidate who can assist the Village of Willard with daily operations, which include, but are not limited to, the following upon appointment of said position:

  • Landscaping
  • Installing sprinkler systems and/or irrigation systems
  • Operating and maintaining garden and landscaping equipment
  • Ordering supplies and equipment as needed
  • Keep maintenance logs and report daily activities
  • Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
  • Potential snow removal
  • Ensure Village of Willard vehicles are maintained and in running condition
  • Ensure facilities are well cared for and adequate to support the Village of Willard business operations
  • Reading of water meters
  • Assisting residents or customers with bulk water services
  • Will assist the Village Water Operator under direct supervision

Education and Experience

  • A high school diploma/GED with relevant years of experience; a degree from a vocational school or a degree in facilities management is preferred but not required
  • Must have a valid New Mexico Driver's License
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills

Physical Requirements

This job may require frequent heavy lifting (3o lbs. or more) and includes working outdoors in potentially extreme elements.
