Guided Bird Walk

  • Rio Grande Nature Center State Park, 2901 Candelaria Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107. The Park’s Day-Use Fee is $3.00 per vehicle (exact cash or check). Friends of the RGNC and NM State Parks annual permit holders enter free with a valid permit displayed.
  • Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars, insect repellent, and sunscreen as needed. Meet at the Candelaria Viewing Area (Northeast side of the parking lot).

Holiday Wild!

  • Saturday, November 25, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Rio Grande Nature Center State Park, 2901 Candelaria Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107. The Park’s Day-Use Fee is $3.00 per vehicle (exact cash or check). Friends of the RGNC and NM State Parks annual permit holders enter free with a valid permit displayed.
  • Join Wildlife Rescue of New Mexico for their annual Holiday Wild! event. Baked items and gifts will be available for sale along with free hot beverages, face painting, kids' activities, and a chance to meet the educational birds. Bring a camera! Proceeds will help feed and house rescued wildlife. Parking is available in the public lot of the Rio Grande Nature Center State Park. The cost is $3 per vehicle. Please bring exact cash or a personal check to pay the Day Use fee, and follow the self-permit process upon arrival.
