Flood Watch in Effect for Central and Southwest New Mexico

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Flood Watch that remains in effect from Friday afternoon through Friday evening. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible across the Manzano and Sandia Mountains. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may also occur in areas with poor drainage and urban settings.
