NWS Flood Watch
The Albuquerque office of the National Weather Service issued a Flood Watch for the Estancia Valley and the Manzano Mountains for tonight, July 17, 2024, through the entire evening.
- WHAT: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible. - WHERE: Portions of central and north central New Mexico,
including the following areas, in central New Mexico, Central
Highlands, Estancia Valley, Lower Rio Grande Valley, Middle Rio
Grande Valley including the Albuquerque Metro Area, Sandia and
Manzano Mountains including Edgewood and South Central Highlands.
In north central New Mexico, Glorieta Mesa Including Glorieta Pass
and Santa Fe Metro Area. - WHEN: Through late tonight.
- IMPACTS: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. - ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- The combination of anomalously high moisture and rounds of
numerous showers and storms will result in locally heavy
rainfall rates in excess of 2 inches per hour that may
