Editor’s Note regarding Government Contracts, Grants, and Loans

In my other line of work, I assist organizations with obtaining grants and government contracts, particularly non-profit organizations that help animals and veterans (for those who have witnessed young soldiers or marines on a Friday night, these two may seem like the same thing). As a result, I come across opportunities for local businesses, municipal governments, and non-profits to obtain money. In the past, I just emailed those who I knew were eligible for the contracts, grants, or loans, but I am sure that I am missing out on local organizations that could benefit from this information. I will start including info about governmental requests for proposals, grants, and loans here, alongside regular news coverage, just so more organizations can benefit from it.  It may not be the most exciting info in the world, but it can bring money into the community.
